Who can resist the call of the greatest show on earth? Youth ages 6 through 13 are invited to join the EOH Circus troupe for a week of fun and merriment from June 24 to June 28, as Circus Theatricks instructor Sean Patrick Fagan teaches the fundamentals of producing a circus. This year the Earlville Awesome House will be hosting the Circus at the Sherburne-Earlville School on School St. in Sherburne.
Sean Fagan wears many hats as the Artistic Director of Circus Theatricks, introducing young people of all ages to circus, theatre, and the visual arts. When not teaching, he keeps a full schedule as a performer. A former Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus clown, Sean’s “theatricks” include a wide range of skills including juggling, slapstick, pratfalls, stilt-walking, unicycle, rolling globe, rola-bola, tumbling, partner acrobatics, magic and more!
Sean Fagan has worked with the Walt Disney Organization, Nickelodeon JR. Television, and the national and international tours of Scholastic’s Magic School Bus Live. He has performed at the International Children’s Arts Festival in Singapore and the Golden Week Family Festival in Liuzhou, China as well as on the streets in Holland.
Beginning on Monday, June 24 the 15th annual EOH Circus Workshop begins, every child who dreams of being a star has the opportunity to shine during this workshop! Children will learn clowning, diablo, rola-bola, stilts, balance beam, tumbling, juggling, globe, unicycle, and other circus arts skills. The program runs weekdays from 9:00 a.m. until 3 p.m. through June 28; students should bring a bag lunch each day. A final EOH Circus performance will take place in the Earlville Opera House on Friday evening, June 28th at 7 p.m. that will be open to the public. Tickets are $5 and $3 for students and support scholarships to the workshop.
Tuition for the EOH Circus Camp is $255, or $230 for EOH members. A limited number of tuition scholarships are available.
