Combining stunning acrobatics, striking visual effects, physical comedy and inventive choreography, Galumpha brings to life a world of imagination, beauty, muscle and merriment at the Earlville Opera House!

The three performers create a sensory feast of images ranging from the ridiculous to the sublime, drawn together into a seamless whole, consistently bringing audiences to their feet. Galumpha is a triumphant mix of art and entertainment, offering world-class, award winning choreography.
For the first time ever, EOH is excited to offer a Galumpha Gang workshop – a week long intensive session in acrobatic dance, collaborative choreography and more!. Three teaching artists will be working with students combining poetry, music, tumbling, acrobatics, and interpretive dance in a program called Galumpha Gang. Students will plan, practice, and perform a program combining exercise and arts. The students write poetry, translate it into body language, and then choreograph and memorize a routine to be performed on the last day of the workshop. They will also help design and create their own costumes.
This weeklong intensive workshop will run from Monday, August 5, through Friday, August 9. Sessions are from 9am to 3 pm Monday-Thursday, and 2-6 pm on Friday, with a full performance at 7 pm on Friday. Registration is limited to 20 students. Tuition is $255 ($230 for EOH members); Early Birds save $25 if you register by July 20 at 5 pm. Designed for ages 7 -13. Formed in 2002 by Andy Horowitz and Greg O’Brien, Galumpha delivers a fast-paced, athletic brand of movement, distinctive for its ingenuity. Galumpha performances have been seen The Late Show with David Letterman, TNN, MTV, Showtime, A & E, Just for Laughs in Montreal, and by over one billion television viewers around the globe. They are soon to embark on their first tour of China.
Galumpha brings a full performance for youth and families on Friday, August 9th at 7pm. Tickets will be $10, $8 members and $5 for youth and students.
