Grammy-winner Moya Brennan is one of Ireland’s premier vocalists.  She will be joined by her talented band in a special holiday show on December 1st that will warm the heart and carry the spirit and message of the season!

The Earlville Opera House presents its third concert celebrating women at the forefront of Celtic music with Moya Brennan, An Irish Christmas!  EOH travels to the city of Oneida on Sunday, December 1st at 7 pm to present this stunning concert artist.  Moya Brennan, the Voice of Clannad and First Lady of Celtic Music, brings a specially produced seasonal show of celebration and reflection.  The concert will feature two harps, fiddle, guitar, piano and percussion.

Moya Brennan fronts the Irish super group Clannad. When Bono stated recently, “I think she has one of the greatest voices the human ear has ever experienced”, he was heralding what many people know already about The Voice of Clannad, Moya Brennan. She sings like nothing you’ve ever heard before! Her effortless vocals and timeless music pay homage to her vibrant traditional Irish heritage.

The band Clannad, held in high esteem for their vast contribution to modernizing old Irish songs, are considered the inventors of contemporary Celtic music. Brennan, who was at the forefront of the group’s success, had her voice suddenly became synonymous with Celtic and Irish music. Brennan has recorded 17 albums with Clannad and has won a Grammy, a BAFTA and an Ivor Novello award. Her sister also sung with Clannad; launching her solo career under the name Enya.

This fall Moya and Clannad have released their 18th album Nádúr with excellent reviews... Huffington Post: “As always, a big plus is Moya Brennan’s voice: she pioneered a misty, mystical sound that has attracted many other singers, including her younger sister Enya. But Moya is still one of its strongest practitioners, and she shines on Nádúr.”

An Irish Christmas will feature Moya Brennan on VOCALS and HARP, Aisling Jarvis on GUITAR and BOUZOUKI, Feargal Murray on KEYBOARDS, Cormac Debarra on HARP and BODHRAN (Irish drum) and Pat Mangan on FIDDLE.  Harpist and television presenter Cormac de Barra.and Moya Brennan have also recorded a duo project together called: Voice And Harps.

I love being part of that”, says Moya.
