July 12th – August 30th, 2014
The Earlville Opera House will be holding a regional quilt show to celebrate Central New York’s rich quilting culture from July 12th – August 30th. Local quilters are invited to exhibit their quilts. All styles are welcome, whether traditional or contemporary. Last year’s quilt show at the EOH galleries had over 700 visitors!
The Regional Quilt Celebration show in the West Gallery will be one of three quilt exhibits at the EOH. It coincides with the Annual “Contemporary Art Quilts” exhibition that will be in the East Gallery. In the EOH Arts Café Gallery will be a solo quilt exhibit “The Road Less Traveled” by Norma Lamb of Eaton. The dates for all three exhibits are from July 12 – August 30 with Openings on SATURDAY, JULY 19th from 10 am to 3 pm to coincide with the Earlville Community Days Celebration.
On July 19th from 10 am to 3 pm, with the Quilt Exhibitions we’ll also be having Antique Cloth Dolls in a special one-day exhibit by the Chenango Valley Doll Club. The Chenango Valley Doll Club will also present workshops for kids! Kids learn to make an old fashioned “cloths-pin doll.” There will be paper dolls for kids to color!
Please call if you have any questions. Quilts should be labeled and an exhibition form should accompany your quilt so that it can be safely returned to you.
The forms may be filled in at the EOH gallery office at the time of drop off or downloaded from right here or if you would like one to be mailed, call the EOH at 315-691-3550.
EOH hours for dropping off quilts are Tuesdays – Fridays 10-5, and Saturdays 12-3. The Earlville Opera House Art Center is located at 18 East Main Street at the intersection with NYS Route 12B.
