Symphor!a ~ Symphony Concert on July 9!

Summer15Symphor!a will kick off the Hamilton Village Concerts in the Park on Thursday, July 9th at 7:30 pm on the village green in Hamilton, New York. Before the concert, the Earlville Opera House will host an Instrument Zoo for children and families starting at 6:30pm on the green. Make your summer plans to include this beautiful evening in the historic setting of the village green of Hamilton!

Come early to enjoy a picnic in the park or Hamilton’s local restaurants! No tickets are necessary for these free events. Bring a blanket or lawn chair! This concert will go on rain or shine; the rain location is confirmed at the Colgate Field House on NYS Route 12B (on the Colgate University Campus).

Symphor!a will be presenting seven summer concerts in July with the first on the Hamilton Village green on July 9th and the last in Rome, NY on July 25th.   Lawrence Loh, who officially joins Symphoria as music director in September after serving most recently as resident conductor with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, music director of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic and music director of the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra says, “Whether you’re a fan of well-known classical composers, Broadway show tunes, great choral works or creative collaborations, this season will surprise the community with all we have to offer. 20140710_183457 zoo crBefore the concert at 6:30pm…EOH is growing audiences for Symphony music and new musicians! The Earlville Opera House will be hosting an INSTRUMENT PETTING ZOO for children and families during the hour before the concert starts starting at 6:30pm. It’s a wonderful opportunity for kids to meet the wild instruments and the daring musicians who tame them!
