The Earlville Galleries invite local and regional quilters to exhibit their work during the annual Community Quilt Show celebrating Central New York’s rich quilting history and culture. Last year’s quilt show had over 700 visitors!
All quilts must be received by 5 pm on Friday, July 8th. Please bring them in a protective bag with a label on both the quilt and the bag. An exhibition form should accompany your quilt. The forms may be completed at the EOH office at the time of drop off, or downloaded from www.earlvilleoperahouse.com. If you would like a form mailed to you, please call 315-691-3550.
Current EOH hours for dropping off quilts are Tuesday – Friday 10 am-5 pm, and Saturdays 12-3 pm. The Earlville Opera House Art Center is located at 18 East Main Street in Earlville.
The Community Quilt Show will be in the West Gallery at the same time the annual “Contemporary Art Quilts” exhibition runs in the East Gallery. Additionally, Alice Gant, who uses a technique of her own design called “neo-reverse applique,” will have a solo exhibit in the Arts Café Gallery.
The dates for all three exhibits are July 16 – September 3, with an opening reception on Saturday, July 16th from Noon to 3 pm. The opening coincides with the annual Earlville Community Days Celebration.
