The Earlville Opera House is thrilled to welcome international guitar masters Loren Barrigar and Mark Mazengarb to its stage on Saturday July 9th at 8 PM, sponsored by WAER FM 88.3.
Having previously visited the EOH in 2015 for a popular songwriters’ workshop, the guitar masters return to wow audiences with their unique musical chemistry. Their varied repertoire of original and arranged music consists of stunning guitar duets and beautiful vocal harmonies, giving them a wide appeal.
Influenced by Jazz, Bluegrass, Western and Popular music, their guitar style is largely built upon the thumb-picking techniques pioneered by guitar greats Merle Travis, Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed. The Duo has toured extensively in the USA and in Europe, and they have a rapidly growing fan base.
Loren and Mark’s live performances feature not only their spectacular technical grasp of the guitar, but also their outstanding musicality and ability to be spontaneously creative. The interaction between the two musicians is as much a feature of their shows as is their world-class guitar playing. This is guitar playing like you’ve never seen before!
Loren & Mark perform Saturday July 9th at 8:00 PM, doors open at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $20 to the general public, $18 for members, and $10 for students and children (under 18), with premiums applying in the first four rows of seating. The Earlville Opera House is wheelchair-accessible with a ramp and a lift. For more information, call 315-691-3550 or visit www.earlvilleoperahouse.com.
