Hamilton Arts in the Park: Concert Series Kicks off with Billy Eli

The Hamilton Arts in the Park Series returns for another season of talented musicians, ranging from jazz gems to country roots. Kicking off the season’s stellar lineup is Billy Eli on July 14th at 7 PM.

BillyEliBilly Eli is a Texas songwriter who performs in support of autism research and care. His songs pack an enormous emotional punch with image filled lyrics presented with guts and blood and the earnestness of a man colored by the brush of time. He brings a decidedly southern voice to the series with his high energy, country roots repertoire.

For more than a decade, Arts in the Park has provided area residents with an opportunity to enjoy free live music and participate in the arts community in the heart of downtown Hamilton. This season’s offerings focus around the theme of “Conversations through Music,” and run the gamut from roots to jazz, and bluesy Americana to indie folk.

Coming Thursday July 21st is Chris Brubeck’s Triple Play, brining a rare level of joy and virtuosity to the folk, blues, and jazz music they perform, followed up by Robinson & Rohe on July 28th, a dynamic songwriting duo presenting beloved classics as well as original works.

Continuing into August, Arts in the Park will feature the Flying Song Garden on 8/4, a non-profit music performance project working to bring song and festivity to communities in hardship, and local gem and folk singer-songwriter Ellen Fagan on 8/11.

Hamilton Arts in the Park is presented by the Village of Hamilton and co-presented by the Earlville Opera House. The Village of Hamilton is grateful for funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by CNY Arts.
