On Wednesday August 3rd, the Poolville Country Store will present a special menu to all those who appreciate the arts—arts that take shape on gallery walls, on theater stages, and on restaurant tables! Offered as a fundraiser for the Earlville Opera House, chefs Roger Foster and Charles Wilburn have agreed to donate a percentage of the night’s sales to EOH. Each patron will enjoy a salad, an entrée, and a dessert for a fixed price of $40.
For this special event, Charles and Roger will be presenting a sumptuous-sounding menu, where guests will choose from pan seared sirloin with in-house steak sauce, house-made chicken sausage with spinach and sundried tomato with a lemon velouté sauce, or vegetable napoleon layered with eggplant, potato, zucchini, and fresh Buffalo mozzarella. All meals come with a choice of classic Caesar salad or Artisan Greens with balsamic vinaigrette, grapes, almonds, and Danish blue crumbles, and choice of a gourmet dessert.
Under the creative guidance of partners Roger Foster (who trained at the Culinary Institute of America) and Charles Wilburn (a graduate of Johnson & Wales University‘s College of Culinary Arts), The Poolville Country Store has become a local treasure for anyone who appreciates the art and science of presenting fine food, artfully prepared, in a historic setting that is welcoming, relaxing, and beautiful. Charles and Roger offer European-influenced American cuisine with a menu that includes all natural hormone-free beef, veal, pork, and poultry, and only fresh, wild seafood. The menu is further enhanced by local produce and farm fresh eggs, changing frequently as availability and seasons allow.
Community events like this one allow the Earlville Opera House to continue bringing world-quality live musical performances and art installations to central New York, and facilitates the art education workshops and classes we host for adults and children of all ages.
Reservations are required! To reserve a table for this special night, please call the Poolville Country Store at 315-691-2677 no later than Friday July 29th.
