A Celebration of NY’s Quilting Culture, sponsored by Sew Nice

Quilt Show for IGThe Earlville Opera House is thrilled to host the Annual Quilt Show sponsored by Sew Nice, featuring three new exhibitions celebrating the rich history of New York State’s quilting culture. All three exhibitions run from July 15 – Sept. 2 with opening reception on Saturday July 15 from 12-3 PM to coincide with the Earlville Community Days Celebration.

Featured quilt artist Sue Beevers of Deansboro, NY will exhibit in the Arts Café Gallery with her new show, David’s Garden, highlighting the cycles of and our bonds to the natural world.

The Regional Quilt Celebration, featuring work submitted by local quilters, will be in the EOH West Gallery. Local quilt artists are invited to exhibit their work. All quilts must be received on or by Friday, July 7th for hanging.  Please bring them in a protective bag with a label on your quilt and bag to keep them safe in the drop off and return process. Quilts should be labeled and an exhibition form should accompany your quilt so that it can be safely returned to you. The forms may be filled in at the EOH gallery office at the time of drop off or downloaded from the EOH website.

The annual Contemporary Art Quilts exhibition runs in the East Gallery, and features fine art quilts by artists from New York State and beyond, including Catherine Kleeman of Maryland and Lorraine Roy of Ontario, Canada.

All three exhibitions run July 15 – September 12, with opening receptions Saturday July 15 from 12-3, free and open to the public.
